Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pound homemade or store-bought pizza dough, room temperature
Sauces and Cheese
- â…“ cup blue cheese dressing (or ranch dressing)
- 6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
Toppings
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken recommended)
- ¼ cup buffalo wing sauce, plus more for serving (optional)
- Optional garnishes: blue cheese or ranch dressing, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a pizza stone inside if available. Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. If you have a pizza peel, place the dough on it for easy transfer. Otherwise, use parchment paper or a baking sheet.
- Add Toppings: Spread the blue cheese dressing evenly over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the dressing. In a bowl, toss the shredded cooked chicken with buffalo wing sauce, then evenly spread the chicken mixture over the cheese layer. Top the pizza with the remaining mozzarella cheese and crumbled blue cheese.
- Bake: Transfer the pizza carefully to the preheated pizza stone (using the peel or parchment paper to assist). Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crust turns golden brown and the cheeses are melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Allow the pizza to cool slightly after baking. Garnish with sliced green onions, extra blue cheese or ranch dressing, or additional buffalo wing sauce if desired. Slice into portions and serve warm.
Notes
- If you don’t have a pizza stone, a baking sheet works fine—preheat it before placing the pizza for a crispier crust.
- Rotisserie chicken is recommended for ease and flavor, but any cooked shredded chicken will work.
- The level of spiciness can be adjusted by adding more or less buffalo wing sauce.
- For a milder option, substitute blue cheese dressing with ranch.
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
