Ingredients
Scale
Dough and Sauce
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
Fillings and Toppings
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 slices pepperoni
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Unroll Dough and Add Sauce: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Spread about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce evenly over each triangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Add Cheese and Pepperoni: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each triangle, then top each with 3 slices of pepperoni for a perfect balance of flavor.
- Roll the Triangles: Carefully roll up each dough triangle starting from the wide end towards the point, enclosing the filling. Place each roll-up on the baking sheet with the point side down to prevent unrolling while baking.
- Brush and Season: Brush the tops of each roll-up with melted butter. Then, sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the tops for a flavorful crust.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the roll-ups are golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbly and melted.
- Garnish and Serve: Once baked, optionally garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping and enjoy your cheesy pepperoni pizza roll-ups!
Notes
- You can substitute turkey pepperoni or add chopped vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
- These roll-ups can also be cooked in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 8 minutes for a quicker alternative.
- Use fresh herbs like basil or oregano for an extra burst of flavor.
- Make sure to seal the edges well to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
