Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Sauce
- 4 to 5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, cut into cubes
To Serve
- Cooked egg noodles or cooked rice
Instructions
- Prepare the Crock Pot: Spray the inside of the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Layer Ingredients: Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts into the crock pot in a single layer. Sprinkle the Italian dressing mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Add Cream Soups and Cheese: Pour the cream of chicken soup and cream of mushroom soup over the chicken. Then distribute the cubes of cream cheese evenly on top of the mixture.
- Cook: Cover the crock pot and cook on Low heat for 4 to 6 hours or on High heat for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Finish and Stir: Remove the lid and stir the sauce and chicken together. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces to blend well with the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, thin it out by adding a little milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve: Serve the creamy Italian chicken and sauce over cooked egg noodles or rice. Enjoy your delicious and comforting meal!
Notes
- You can adjust cooking time depending on your crock pot’s heat settings.
- If you prefer a thinner sauce, gradually add milk or chicken broth until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
- For extra flavor, garnish with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
