Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Base
- 1 cup of white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of dried lavender buds
- 1/4 cup of honey
- Pinch of salt
Coating & Garnish
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- Few dried lavender buds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Infuse the Cream: In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and dried lavender buds. Heat gently over medium heat until just simmering. Remove from heat and let steep for about 15-20 minutes to extract the floral aroma and flavor from the lavender buds.
- Strain and Melt Chocolate: Strain the infused cream into another bowl to remove the lavender buds completely. Add the white chocolate chips to the warm cream and stir until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Add Honey and Salt: Incorporate the honey and a pinch of salt into the chocolate mixture. Stir thoroughly until everything is well combined. Allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature.
- Chill and Shape: Refrigerate the mixture for approximately 30 minutes, or until it becomes firm enough to handle. Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into small, bite-sized balls.
- Coat the Truffles: Roll each truffle ball evenly in the unsweetened cocoa powder to coat them. For an elegant touch, sprinkle a few dried lavender buds on top of each truffle as garnish.
- Final Chill: Place the coated truffles back in the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes to set completely. Once firm, your lavender honey white chocolate truffles are ready to be enjoyed!
