Description

A refreshing and tangy Pomegranate Lemonade made with fresh lemon juice, pomegranate seeds, and a touch of honey. Perfect for cooling down on a hot day, this vibrant drink combines the tartness of lemons with the sweet, ruby-red flavor of pomegranate for a naturally delicious and healthy beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Juices & Liquid

  • 5 lemons, juiced
  • 1 cup water
  • 3-4 cups water or sparkling water

Sweetener

  • 1/3 cup honey (or other vegan honey substitute)

Fruit

  • 1 1/2 cups pomegranate arils (seeds) or 1 cup pomegranate juice

Instructions

  1. Blend ingredients. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey, 1 cup of water, and pomegranate seeds to a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and well combined.
  2. Strain the mixture. Pour the blended mixture through a fine sieve or strainer into a jug or pitcher to remove the pulp and hard parts of the pomegranate seeds, ensuring a smooth lemonade texture.
  3. Mix and serve. Add the remaining 3 to 4 cups of water or sparkling water to the strained liquid, adjusting to your preferred taste and dilution. Stir well to combine. Serve chilled with lemon slices, ice cubes, and extra pomegranate arils for garnish if desired.

Notes

  • Use sparkling water for a fizzy version of this lemonade.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey depending on your taste preference.
  • For a vegan option, substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
  • Straining helps improve the texture by removing pulp and seed remnants.
  • The recipe yields about 4 to 4.4 servings, perfect for sharing.
