Description

These Sugar Cookie Truffles are a delightful no-bake treat combining the sweet flavors of sugar cookies and creamy white chocolate. Easy to prepare and perfect for parties or a sweet snack, these truffles have a smooth, rich texture and a fun sprinkle topping for added color and crunch.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 1 cup sugar cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese until thoroughly combined and a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  2. Form Balls: Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized balls and arrange them evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a non-stick surface.
  3. Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill the balls for 30 minutes to firm up, making them easier to dip.
  4. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Dip Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated, then return to the baking sheet.
  6. Add Sprinkles: While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle the tops of the truffles with the colorful sprinkles for decoration.
  7. Set Chocolate: Allow the chocolate coating to set completely at room temperature or place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator until the chocolate is firm before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh sugar cookie crumbs from baked cookies or store-bought crumbs.
  • Cream cheese should be softened to room temperature to mix easily with the cookie crumbs.
  • Chilling the truffles before dipping helps maintain their shape during coating.
  • If white chocolate is too thick after melting, add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin it for easier dipping.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
